The East and the West are totally different continents beliefs and how they teach there children. First of all, from this article I can say that the east is more strict, For example, they are more focused on grades and you playing instruments. They are totally against drama and athletics. Second of all, the West seems to be more laid back and more understanding. For instance, they would probably be allowed to play sports or participate in any activity. In the end I feel this is a controversial subject that our class should talk more about.
Do you understand that you tore a hole in my family that can never be sealed. You should be punished to the full extent of you actions. I personally feel you should go to jail for 10 years. This is unfortunate because those were your friends. I know it was a accident but you need to held for your actions. I just don't get it. Why did you think it was right to drink and drive.
Today is Friday, yesterday there was a great earthquake that caused a great Tsunami. This tsunami decimated the land on the Northern Coast of California. Many lives were lost. The tsunami was triggered by an earthquake off the coast of the Big Island.
Bob: Did you hear the sirens yesterday?
Rick: Yes I did, It gave me solace to hear the warnings and the sirens let everyone know to get to high ground.
Molly: I was glad that the sirens didn't malfunction.
Bob: Some people were deciding about whether to go to high ground or not, but after arbitrating the options everyone reached safety.
Molly: That should be a no brainer.
Rick: You got that right!
Molly: Many people were stifled by the mass amount of rubbishy and waste in the water. There was a lot of debris on the land. I saw many people culling through destruction.
Bob: So you're saying people were inundated by large amounts of water. Did anyone. drown?
Molly: Yes.
Rick: There are bodies all over. I think they will start to fester and decompose soon.
Molly:Yuck!
Bob: What happens to the houses that where flooded and water logged?
Rick: They become supple and deteriorated and will need to be cleared away.
Molly: That spiteful wave sure did some damage.
Bob: Sure did. It makes you pensive on how fragile life is.
Rick: Lets go surfing.
Jim: Who's in
Molly: Me First
Bob: Me second
Linda: After that day leaving the shore they were never seen again.
In this project I have been asked to research and report on two plants. They had to of been plants that have a medicinal use. For example guava and papaya. Well I picked Opium(Poppy's) and St. Johns wort. These plants are two of a vast number of medicinal plants that are on this world.
Opium is a substance that is harvested from poppies that can make medicine but it can also make narcotics(Drugs). My plant can be found in many places its most common Afghanistan and Mexico. The largest consumer is actually the United States. It is used for medicinal use as a pain killer. It has four main substances morphine, codeine, thebaine, and papavine. This drug is very potent and has the potential to kill. It started in China as a pain killer. It comes usually in white bitter powder that can be injected by needle, smoked, or orally swallowed.
St Johns Wort is a medicinal plant that elevates depression and pressure. It also can help smokers, cancer, HIV/AIDS, muscle pain, nerve pain and simple cuts and bruises. It started in Ancient Greece where it was used to help sleep. In the modern world their is really no cases of misuse of St. John's Wort. I guess you could get an overdose of antidepressant. It comes in 5 main forms, oil based lotions, pills, powdered, dried herbs and tea.
These two plants are not really a like. They both come in powdered forms. One is a pain killer trying to make you feel nothing while the antidepressant trying to make more happy. I believe Friar Lawrence was right in saying that each plant can be used for good and bad. For example, Opium Poppies can be used for someone that just lost there leg or for someone that is a druggie. In the end I feel that these two plants are a good representation of the medicinal plant community.
